About Us

Our History

“The Lord answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it. For the vision is yet for the appointed time;cit testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late. Look, his ego is inflated; he is without integrity. But the righteous one will live by his faith.”

-- Habakkuk 2:2-4 (CSB)

The initial vision for True Vision Christian Community came to Pastor Cas at the age of nine. In a dream, God revealed to him that he would be a pastor, start a church, and the name of the church would be True Vision. Twenty years later, the dream became a reality.

The planning stage of True Vision Christian Community began in March 2017, was registered through the Ohio Secretary of State on May 23, 2017, and held its initial service service on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Fire House Church in Carroll, OH . During the pre-launch phase, TVCC gathered at Eastgate Event Center and Miller Park. TVCC officially launched on Sunday, September 10, 2017 with bimonthly services at the Ohio Glass Museum and began weekly services in January 2018 in the back of A Season in Time in Downtown Lancaster. Since then, we have been blessed to worship at Connexion West and New Connections Worship Center as well as our former building at 706 W. Wheeling Street.

We have participated and partnered with several groups including Community Walking With Christ, Grace Haven Ministries, and Lancaster Think Tank on Poverty and participated in several local events.

We are now becoming a “Church Without Walls” with our offices at The Frey Building located at the crossroads of Downtown Lancaster; services, outreaches, and gatherings throughout the area; our TVCC e-Campus; our expansion to India; and our strengthened web presence.

Our Mission

The mission of True Vision Christian Community is to "see as God sees, love as God loves, be SHARERS of the Gospel, and equip people to their purpose."

Seeing as God sees means that we do not judge you for your past or your present because we have a responsibility to be a place of hope, healing, and restoration. All people are God's creation and all are welcome here.

Loving as God loves means that we operate in "agape" love- we love you unconditionally. Again, we do not care who you are or where you're from. We love as Christ loves. From that love, we work to pursue God, build authentic and accountable community, and allow God to do the transformative work that brings people to him.

Being SHARERS of the Gospel means that we teach and preach God's word unapologetically and responsibly and live to be examples of it. SHARERS means "save, heal, align, restore, equip, and release." We share the truth because the truth brings freedom.

Equipping people to their purpose means we work to ensure people are whole in all forms and are moving forward. We have a responsibility to ensure that our community is thriving and has what it needs and work to help people be spiritually, physically, mentally, financially, and academically whole so they may live their full purpose freely.

What To Expect

Our desire with every gathering is to access the transforming and empowering presence of God and leave changed to affect those around us.

We are not worried about what you wear, who you are, where your from, what race you are, your politics, how you identify, or other things that divide. All are welcome to come into our space, worship with us, and belong with our loving community.

Our Gatherings

The Encounter is our weekly worship experience. We call our worship time The Encounter because our goal is to offer a space in which people can engage in the power and presence of God that promotes change, growth, healing, and restoration.

During The Encounter, you will experience a celebratory and spirit-filled experience including multicultural and multi-generational praise and worship from our worship leaders and powerful Bible-based preaching and teaching from Bishop Cas, Pastor Rachel, leaders and members of True Vision, or guest speakers from across the country.

The Encounter is about 75-90 minutes in length.

Preparing For Your First Visit

Will there be Children’s Ministry?

Currently, we do not plan to offer Children’s Ministry due. However, we will have staff available if needed. We love children and encourage kids to participate in the service.

What should I wear?

In the words of our Lead Pastor, “Clothes.” We are truly a come-as-you-are church and we do not care what you wear. You will see people wearing everything from shorts to suits… including our pastoral staff. You are welcome with whatever you have. We’re just glad you came.

What about giving?

We do offer an opportunity to give financially to the church at every gathering. We have a strict policy that does not allow for coercive (forced) giving. That means, no one will ever guilt you or force you to give an offering and you are not obligated to do so. If you decide to give, we accept cash, check, and debit/credit cards on-site and offer digital giving via Givelify, PayPal, or CashApp. All funds raised by the church go directly into the local, national, and international ministry work of True Vision Christian Community. You can learn more about our digital giving options here.

Did we miss any questions? Is there anything else you want to know? You can contact us by e-mail at admin@truevisionlancaster.org and we would be happy to be of assistance.

True Vision Christian Community is a "House of Prayer and Refuge" for those seeking God. No matter your past or your present, we believe that God is for anyone who desires Him. We endeavor to create a safe environment where people of all walks of life can gather and be changed by the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, and God's redeeming and restoring love.

Saving The Lost

Saving the Lost means being examples of Christ in all parts of our lives so we can share the message of Jesus not through our words but in our actions.

Healing the Saved

Healing the Saved means understanding that the church is a hospital for both the believer and the non-believer and allowing people the opportunity to receive healing, freedom, and restoration in all forms without condemnation and bring them to a deeper knowledge of Christ.

Equipping the Church

Equipping the Church means teaching people how to live for Christ and to use the many gifts and talents He has given us for the building of the Body of Christ. The goal of equipping is to empower people with the necessary tools and wisdom to serve well and then give them the freedom to serve and exercise their gifts and talents in and outside of our church.

Our Identity

True Vision Christian Community is a nondenominational multicultural and multi-generational ministry which strives to make Jesus known to all people, bring healing and hope to the afflicted, and direct people to their God-ordained purpose and destiny.

1 Corinthians 9:22-23 (HCSB)
To the weak I became weak, in order to win the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that I may by every possible means save some. Now I do all this because of the gospel, so I may become a partner in its benefits.

We are a spirit-filled ministry which believes in the free exercise of Spiritual Gifts as outlined in Scripture.

Romans 12:6-8 (HCSB)
According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the standard of one’s faith; if service, in service; if teaching, in teaching; if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.

1 Corinthians 12:8-10 (HCSB)
to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages.

1 Peter 4:11 (HCSB)
If anyone speaks, it should be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, it should be from the strength God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

We are a “five-fold ministry” church which strives to lead people to maturity in Christ, equip them for the ministry, and bring them into deep and personal covenant relationship with Him.

Ephesians 4:11-15 (HCSB)
And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness. Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head—Christ.

We are a church who seeks to build the Body of Christ by empowering others to fulfill the Great Commission by serving our local community, traveling nationally and internationally, establishing churches and ministries beyond our borders, and aiding other church planters as they begin their journey.

Matthew 28:19-20 (HCSB)
Go, therefore, and make disciples of[a] all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Our Beliefs

We believe:

In the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God which are divinely inspired, inerrant, and infallible. The Holy Scriptures are the final written authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

There is one God spoken of in the Scriptures as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit expression His triune nature.

In our Lord Jesus Christ as God manifested in the flesh, His virgin birth, sinless human life, miracles, death on the cross for our sins, bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return in power and glory.

In salvation from a lost and sinful condition by faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ who provides forgiveness for our sins.

In the Holy Spirit who draws us to Christ, imparts to us a new nature that desires godliness, empowers us to be witnesses, and manifests numerous gifts for the edification of the church and evangelization of the world.

As an act of obedience to the gospel message, each believer should be baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit.

The church is comprised of all true believers in Christ and it is God’s intention that we dwell in unity.

In the resurrection of all people; true believes in Christ to everlasting life and unbelievers to everlasting punishment.

The work of the church is to extend the Kingdom of God throughout the world by preaching the gospel, healing the sick, delivering the spiritually oppressed, and establishing the rule of God in every area of life.
